We have wide experience in the restoration and conservation of furniture and related objects from most countries in the world and dating from the 16th to the 20th century, with values from a few pounds to tens of thousands.
We emphasise the preservation of original surfaces and construction details and the quality and period of materials used . To this end we carry a large stock of period timber and metal fitments and an extensive library of reference books.
As well as general furniture repairs we can also repair metal fitments and locks and fit keys and carry out repairs to marquetry, boulle, pietra dure, tortoiseshell, ivory, bone , horn, scrolled paper, straw marquetry, japanning, gilding and painted furniture.
